Let Loose Series - Couple cups x 2

130 AUD / In stock.
"Let Loose" Series

The Couple cups are made in pairs as a set, wheel thrown from the same ball of clay. We drink from a cup every day, it is an intimate experience, something you hold with your hands and touches with your lips.

With the product designer background, I follow the design methodology to attempt to increase user experience. The idea is that functional pieces should be an aesthetic display itself and satisfy through touch - an expression of an individual.

In our stressful daily life, the tightly thrown base symbolises as it gets smaller at the bottom and so is our stress; the body is thrown loosely to with grooves. The thought is when you hold the cup, you will find the groove that fits your hand and drinks something that would relax you, hence the title "Let Loose". It is a reference to loose tea and loosely thrown. The base of the pieces has different texture depending on the different clay, through the distinguishable touch, hope you find the cups just for you. Price includes the two cups, there is only have one set of this.

Size: 9-10cm(W) x 9-10cm(H) (measurements are approx.)

**These cups were glazed with two different glazes and meets in the middle to create the pattern.
One fired in Oxidation firing and one fired in Reduction firing, hence the color is different and one is slightly small than the other. Symbolically hope the couple that owns it could meet in the middle and understand that although it may appear different but it's from the same origin.
